Removing large vessels from the water for maintenance is a highly specialised job. Withing our practice we have over 12 years experience maintaining and operating dry dock and slipway facilities.
We plan and supervise the docking of vessels up to 60m in length within an enclosed dry dock and the slipping of vessels up to 70m in length, 1000-tonnes displacement on rolling railway slipways.
From the ship’s schematics we create a docking plan and design and construct a cradle, unique to each vessel. We then supervise all parties involved in the slipping process, including our competent onboard team, dinghy crew and tugs.
Once all work is complete we take charge of the launching process, allowing the vessel back into service.
We also offer a number of complimentary services including commercial craft condition surveys, the raising of work specifications and inspection of repairs once effected.
