Principle Marine Surveyor and Managing Director. Twenty-four years experience in the Royal Navy, after joining as a Marine Engineering Mechanic in 1970 and retiring from the Royal Navy as a Chief Marine Engineering Artificer. Incorporated Engineer, Incorporated Marine Engineer Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and Member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying.
Nine years experience as an independent marine surveyor, principally focusing on small craft surveys for pre-purchase and insurance purposes. Appointed as an expert witness on behalf of private yacht owners and the Serious Organised Crime Agency on numerous occasions, occasionally requiring a court testimony. Senior docking superintendent at Marchwood slipways, which involves the production of docking drawings and slipping of ships up to 1000-tonnes and 70m in length. Recreational Craft Directive consultant, conducting post construction assessment of imported vessels and CE Marking. Tonnage measurer and MCA commercial compliance assessor.
Lee Warltier - BSc(Hons) MGeog. DipMarSur. M.I.I.M.S.
Marine Surveyor and Technical Director. Graduate of the University of Wales with a BSc(Hons) Marine Geography. Diploma in Marine Industry Surveying from the University of Portsmouth. Three years in the Royal Navy as a Midshipman, operating as a navigator, deck officer and as a surveyor onboard inshore patrol vessels and ocean survey vessels.
Areas of expertise within Geoff Waddington & Partners Ltd. include pre-delivery inspections and quality audits of new build vessels at the UK’s leading manufacturers and cargo surveying, with specific regard to marine cargo loading, discharge and damage surveys and dangerous goods inspection. Experienced in all areas of marine surveying, including docking superindendency, small and commercial craft survey.

Marine Cargo Surveyor and Operations Director. Twenty-four years experience in the Royal Navy, as ship’s deck equipment maintainer/operator and ship’s radio and helicopter controller.
Principle areas of focus within Geoff Waddington & Partners Ltd. include cargo surveying, specialising in break bulk, out of gauge and containerised cargoes. Other key roles include dangerous goods inspection, produce and cargo damage inspection and loss evaluation, docking superintendency, new-build pre-delivery inspections and small craft survey.

Marine surveyor with six years professional and academic experience within the marine industry. Graduate of Southampton Solent University (formerly Southampton Institute) with a BSc(Hons) Yacht Manufacturing and Surveying. Graduate member of RINA, Assoc.I.I.M.S. and affiliate member of the YDSA.
Operating in all marine survey disciplines, with particular focus on small craft pre-purchase and insurance surveys. Other areas of focus include new-build pre-delivery inspections and quality audits, Recreational Craft Directive consultancy, conducting post construction assessment of imported vessels and CE Marking. Experienced in marine cargo loading and discharge condition survey, dangerous goods inspection and damage inspection.
Janet Waddington
Administration director. Experienced in the field as well as the office. Principally focusing on new-build pre-delivery inspections, quality audits and small craft survey for pre-purchase and insurance purposes. Runs the financial and administrative areas of the business and maintains our ISO 9001 accreditation through internally quality audits, striving for ever-improving and consistent quality in all areas of the business.
